MATERIALS:   300 yards bulky weight yarn

EQUIPMENT:  Size 9 knitting needles, yarn needle

GAUGE:  4 stitches/inch

ABBREVIATIONS:  st - stitch, k- knit, yo - yarn over, sl1 - slip s stitch, k2tog - knit 2 stitches together, psso - pass slip stitch over

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cast on 37 sts and knit 2 rows.

Begin pattern as follows:

Row 1:  K3, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, (yo, k1, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso) to last 3 sts.  Yo, k3.

Row 2:  K2, purl 33, k2.

Row 3:  K3, yo, k2tog, (yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1) to last 4 sts.  Yo, sl1, k1, psso, k2.

Row 4:  K2, purl 33, k2.

Repeat these 4 rows for 60" (or desired length, ending with a purl row.  K 2 rows.  Bind off.  Weave in ends.
